In which I waste your time
I am a slave to canon. To an annoying extent. I wince at the most minor sign of timeline manipulation, I dislike pairings that break canon relationships, I can be particularly touchy about the relative misuse of certain characters. I realise this all makes me kind of a buzzkill. And a bitch. But thankfully (and I presume this is the only reason I manage to have friends on LJ), I don't take most things too seriously. If a fanfiction does any of what I mentioned earlier, I absolutely won't mind as long as it makes some sort of sense. I say "some sort of sense" because I still don't understand how or why some things make more sense to me than others (like Shelly having a soft spot for animals, something that has no bearing in canon at all but that I take as an established fact).
To summarise: as long as it's well written, is justified, or is at least damn funny, I'm all for messing with canon a bit.
As such, I don't regret this at all.
For those unfamiliar with DDD, once or twice a month we have events ("viruses") that can significantly affect a character's behaviour, sometimes without their awareness of it (and sometimes with their painful, extreme awareness). This time, the players were allowed to mix and combine two different viruses into a single character-torturing mechanism. A friend and I decided this bromance would be hilarious. The virus ends in four days, and I honestly don't know how Shelly will react once he realises what happened.
Speaking of RP! I know that a few of you on my f-list are very interested in doing it, but LJ games can be huge and intimidating. First of all, I feel your pain. Second of all, I was considering making a private community (what most people call a "musebox") just for us to dick around in and for you to play with me if you want possibly maybe please; a small, not-intimidating, casual and ~*~chill~*~ environment. What do you guys think?
