Ten Days Meme - Two
... I honestly don't know what I'm going to say, but, uh, HERE GOES
Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot.
Day Seven: Four turn offs.
Day Eight: Three turn ons.
Day Nine: Two smileys that describe your life right now.
Day Ten: One confession.
1) I'm Portuguese. My knowledge of English initially came from crappy sitcoms, videogames and an old English textbook I found somewhere as a kid and spent an incredible amount of time playing with.
2) Sometimes, I think I was a really weird kid. I had plenty of self-esteem issues, that I'm sure of, and I'm almost as sure that they came from the way certain schoolmates treated me.
3) Okay, yeah, I was a pretty weird kid regardless of what I said above. I only ever played with other children when I was at kindergarten (and, later, at school); at home, I just stayed in the living room, with the door closed, doing one of three things: watching cartoons, reading comics or magazines, or essentially roleplaying by myself. I went in self-insert-tastical adventures with the Disney ducks, and I often did crossovers with all the other stuff I was into. Early signs of being fucking nuts?
4) My grandpa from my mother's side taught me how to read before I even went into kindergarten. And he dropped out of school in his early years. ;u;
5) I did tons of comics when I was a kid. Granted, I never finished a lot of them, but goddammit, I did them. I do remember being occasionally frustrated with my drawings even back then, but still, I did tons of stuff every day (all of it Disney-related, I'm pretty sure) and I thought I was hot shit.
6) I still love all the ducks, Goofy, and some other obscure characters you may have never heard of and I may even be forgetting right now. It's sad to see what Disney tends to churn out nowadays. Also, I stopped seeing new Disney comics released anywhere in Portugal in the recent years. I still have no idea what the heck happened, but I wouldn't be surprised if kids just didn't... care about them anymore.
7) I have this annoying habit to continue buying Sonic games even when I know they are likely to make me weep.
8) No, wait, I could say more: I have this annoying habit to spend money on things I know I'll be hurt by. I bought Sonic 2006, widely known to be a pretty terrible game (and I played it to completion, by the way), I paid to see Eragon in the cinema and I willingly bought and read Twilight just to see if it was as awful as everyone said. No, I'm not sure if I'd be a masochist in bed.
9) I think too hard about most things.
