Meme time!

Comment to this post saying "Think before you snack" and I will list five things I associate with you. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your LJ (or just add a reply back at me). Other people (including me~) can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.

Ginga
tagged me! And this looks fun, so... Let's do this!

1. LJRP

Photobucket

I've been RPing since I was... I dunno, 11? A while, anyway. And, well, I was never any good in big, public RPs forums - I preferred to stick with friends. Plus, I only ever used OCs. A little over a year ago, I decided to start roleplaying from Ace Attorney because, hey, why the hell not? I liked the characters a lot. I started out in Gyakuten MSN... but then I got curious about LJRP and decided to give it a try.

My first attempt failed miserably, I dropped within two weeks and let nothing more be said of that.

Then I joined [livejournal.com profile] dramadramaduck . I'm still there. The other game I've been at for a considerable amount of time is [livejournal.com profile] route_29 , and I don't intend to drop that either, although the thought HAD crossed my mind in the past. And then, of course, I also dick around in Dear Mun and [livejournal.com profile] acedressing  and so on. Dicking around is fun.

And you know what? Wanky and filled with drama queens as LJRP may be, I have made some good friendships thanks to it, and that's worth all the moments of "oh-my-god-why-are-you-doing-this-chill-out-why-can't-we-all-just-get-along" that I go through.

Now I have to write an app for FBI special agent Francis York Morgan. I have to sfhfgkhgjljkhç o9!

2. My "kitteh"

That is the best photo I have ever taken - and will ever take - of him. Also a perfect picture for a comedy movie poster.

Geez, what can I say? I love him. I already panic when I can't find him despite knowing there is no physical way he can leave the house (and he has a knack for showing up just when I'm about to end my search and curl into a fetal position), and God, he's just growing up so fast and he's so elegant now! I'm still afraid I'm doing EVERYTHING wrong - I-I do need to discipline him better, he has yet to learn that fingers and arms are not chew toys and he is not free to try and separate my skin from my body - but hell, so far, so good.

3. Drawing fanart

Why, yes. Yes, I did draw that. Shadow never liked her back, I wasn't that bad of a 13-year-old agdfhfgjg.

I've been drawing fanart ever since I can remember. No, seriously, I was like 5 years old and drawing Super Goofy and all of the ducks - ALL OF THEM. I still doodle Disney stuff once in a while, but I rarely deem it decent enough to share. In fact, that's how my "original characters" were born. Yes. I started with blatant self-inserts and shameless crossovers. If you care to go Internet Detective on me, you can STILL find the first piece of fanfiction I published on the Internet, a Pokémon/Disney crossover with a bonus self-insert which I believed to be EPIC. Hell, even when I was making a conscious effort to make my OCs actually... original and independent of any outside work, I still wanted to cross them over with everything ever. Now, though, I have succeeded in that. And they're not covered in fur anymore. For the most part.

... I still get the odd urge to make a crossover with Ace Attorney, but never mind that WASN'T I SUPPOSED TO BE TALKING ABOUT FANART?

Um... I draw too much of it! I should draw more original stuff, instead of just doing stuff like this all the time. I doodled a nice bust in my notebook the other day, maybe I should try to scan it...

4. My ships

... My ships? Aafshfdgj WHAT DO I SAY

Okay, um... I still stick mostly to canon pairings! Except the AA fandom has made me consider the craziest shit. And I start out all "ahahah OTP forever lol" and then I START THINKING ABOUT IT and I see it making sense and oh my God why.

... Still not into P/E, though. Go figure. AND I KIND OF WISH I COULD TALK ABOUT MY NEW BROTP FROM GK2, BUT... ONE DAY. ONE DAY, THE TIME WILL COME. It's not with Shelly's client okay

5. SHELLY DE KILLER

You knew this was coming.

I always felt a little odd when, after being at GMSN for a while, people started calling me Shelly. Now I'm sorta used to people associating me with him, a-ahahah. 8D; I've already said this, back when I screencapped all that stuff from 2-4, but I'm not really sure when it was that he crossed the line between MONSTROUS BASTARD and UNDENIABLE BADASS for me. All I remember is that I felt goddamn awesome during Matt's breakdown, after I finished the game, I went and babbled on to a friend about him, yet refused to spoil Shelly for him. Yeah, I don't know either. I like Matt a lot too, but that's not what I'm supposed to be talking about here.

And believe it or not, I was not the first person who noticed Shelly de Killer in the very first blurry scan of GK2's announcement - it was someone else on DA. I thought that was impossible and decided to check for myself. Then I saw black on white and I WAS EXCITED FOR MONTHS and now oh God please Capcom USA just stop fucking with us

Um. I like de Killer. A lot! Maybe a little too much, to the point where I get angry when people say stupid things about him like insisting that Shelly de Killer is his real name and shfgjfgjgkj don't get me started.

... How do I end this in a not-awkward manner?

Ah, right - next time (hopefully), you all get to watch Wild Target with me. Through screenshots and text because that's the best I can do.

Greed - Yup. I roleplay Greed. Pretty much everyone on DDD associates me with him. But you know, to others, he's more of a legend of Drunky's. A rape happy prison-bound legend of Drunky's. Granted, Drunky started incorporating Greed into his drunken rambles mostly to entertain me, so it's all like one big feedback cycle.

Linguistics - My favorite mediums are all in a language that is not my native one. Rather, my mediums of choice are *defined* by being by and for native Japanese speakers. I learned Japanese for absolutely no reason other than liking anime and manga. It's all about understanding the characters and their medium, the same way those with a modern interest in alchemy and occult are all about decrypting symbols.

General awesomeness - I think you're mistaking me for Greed. Many do.

RP - I've turned down job offers because they'd cut into my RP time. I mostly do 1-on-1s, and usually play 10+ characters, being the usual DM, so the RP you know me through, in which I don't have to run the plot, play side characters, and rely heavily on icons to express mood and tone is still relatively new for me.

Anime - See linguistics. My hobby is serious business. Anything that obscures a part of it and tries to pass it off as the work itself, such as dubs or false translations or pushing speculation as canon should meet the burning wrath of Karma's fire breath in your icon. Because I know that's your subtle way of saying I make you think of that.
